Are you looking forward to returning to the office? The pandemic has changed us, and now, work has successfully intruded into life. As a result, we have reconfigured our houses so that there is a dedicated place to conduct work. Before the pandemic, only a few had set up an office in their home. It is not the case anymore. All of us had to redesign our abodes. As part of working from home, we also learned new ways of interaction. Every organization has adopted collaborative software that suits their needs. One of the significant learning is the practical usage of the Outlook calendar. Gone are the days when people went to and fro with announcing and finally locking down timeslots over emails. We never do these ping-pong emails anymore. Instead, we block the time on the calendar where all participants are free and available.

Personally, I like this new way of scheduling. As the number of emails showing up in our inboxes has an inverse effect on our disposition, such methods go a long way in reducing the decision-making burden. Unfortunately, these new scheduling methods have created a new problem. Nobody has free time anymore, and there are meetings scheduled one after the other without any apparent break. This situation presents issues in three areas, namely lunch, bio breaks, and doing work. Lunch is a generic term that could be used interchangeably in this context for breakfast, coffee…
