I’ve definitely noticed that many meetings don’t include an agenda, and it makes a huge difference when they do. I’ve had times where I asked for the agenda beforehand and realized I didn’t even need to be there, which saved everyone’s time. It’s always worth politely asking for it, framing it as wanting to come prepared. On the other hand, no matter how much I prepare for objections, something unexpected often comes up in the meeting. I guess there’s only so much you can plan for, and being flexible is key!
