I’ve always felt that the work-life balance in European countries was much better when I worked there about a decade ago. It was refreshing to see people prioritize life outside of work, though I wasn’t sure if that was a cultural norm or just a product of the times I was living in. Now that I work in the US, I haven't personally experienced the long-hours obsession. It’s interesting to reflect on how attitudes toward work can vary so much between different places.
